There's a shocking murky twist to the probe into the Gulbarga train fire on Oct 16 that killed 2 people. Police say the fire may not have been an accident or an act of vandalism, but a deliberate hate crime targeted at a young couple in love. The fire gutted 6 bogies of the train. Any eyewitness told police that four persons barged into the bogie, closed the window shutters and poured kerosene before setting the bogie on fire. Police confirm that the deaths were of an 18 year old female who was a university student and an autorickshaw driver, but they are treating it as a suicide till the post-mortem report confirms murder.
