Speaking about his absense from the BJP national meeting, former Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yeddyurappa on Friday, said that it was the first time in 40 years that he skipped a national meeting of the party. Yeddyurappa went on to say that "from Jawaharlal Nehru to Sonia Gandhi, the Congress has never let down its leaders." Gadkari took a pot shot at BJP president Nitin Gadkari, saying that he hadn't kept his promise of making him the Karnataka BJP chief.
