AAP MLAs allege BJP offered them money to split party

Aam Aadmi Party MLAs have alleged that they have been contacted by the BJP and asked to break away from the party and help the BJP form the government in Delhi.
Rajesh Garg, AAP MLA from Rohini, said, "We have been approached by the BJP on many occasions. They extended me an offer and I have a video of that."
Garg said the man who claimed to have links with BJP met him soon after AAP MLAs came out of a meeting with Lieutenant-Governor Najeeb Jung over the e-rickshaw issue. The man said that neither the AAP nor Congress would come to power if fresh elections were held and we should join hands with the BJP, the Rohini MLA claimed.
AAP MLA from Trilokpuri constituency, Raju Dhingan, also made similar allegations, saying that the BJP workers in his area had contacted him. "I was offered money and a ministerial berth," he said.
Seemapuri MLA and AAP leader Dharmendra Koli said the party was gearing up for fresh polls and was not deterred by the BJP's attempts to break away the party MLAs.
Other AAP MLAs too alleged that they were either contacted over the phone or through intermediaries.
The Delhi Legislative Assembly has been in suspended animation ever since AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal resigned as CM on February 14 after a 49-day rule.
A few days ago, the AAP and Congress had reportedly begun back channel talks to form the government in Delhi once again in a bid to stop the BJP from coming to power if fresh polls are held. The AAP MLAs were reported to have urged the party leadership to form the government with the support of the Congress. However, the talks could not go any further as both the parties backtracked after making initial advances. The Congress party leadership, according to reports, had decided against lending support to AAP for a second time.
