News of a worrying spurt in ceasefire violations has come out along the India-Pakistan border in Jammu and Kashmir over the last 48 hours. Reports have said that in the third violation on Monday night in Hiranagar Sector of Kathua district, Pakistani security personnel fired on Indian forward posts in separate incidents in Jammu and Kashmir injuring two BSF jawans. Incidents have also been reported from the Poonch Sector and along the Indo-Pak border in the Jammu Sector on Sunday. The firing has come close on the heels of the detection of 400-metre long Pakistani tunnel in J and K's Samba sector on July 28 and subsequent lodging of strong protest over the issue by India.
