BSP chief said on Saturday, "Though we didn't get any seats, in UP we have got more votes than we did in 2009. In number of votes, we are the third largest party in India."

"I appreciate that the Dalit community has managed to protect its movement from the onslaught. But the BSP has not lost much in vote share," she added.

Alleging that a vicious communal campaign launched by Modi aide Amit Shah resulted in her party's loss, the BSP supremo said, "The Upper Caste votes which were to come to BSP went to BJP due to the misinformation. But the Dalit community is not affected by the so-called wave. Amit Shah's inflammatory speeches affected the atmosphere."
