Four people have reportedly been arrested in connection with the murder of Karnataka Administrative Service (KAS) officer SP Mahantesh. According to police sources, a senior government official is suspected to have hired people to attack Mr Mahantesh, who was a whistle-blower in a cooperative housing scam case, and had ordered an inquiry into the alleged irregularities.
