The Sahara group on Thursday told the Supreme Court that it cannot pay Rs 10,000 crore to secure release of its chief Subrata Roy.
It made a fresh proposal before the apex court for depositing Rs 2,500 crore upfront and the same amount within 21 days of his release. A failure by the Group to meet the bail condition would force Roy and two other directors to cool their heels in Delhi's Tihar Jail for now.
