A red-faced CPM and the Left parties are desperately trying to distance themselves from the murder boast of an influential party leader from Kerala. M M Mani a CPM leader from Iddukki "revealed" yesterday that the party had "killed" political opponents in the past. BJP leaders were quick to pounce on the remarks calling for action against Mani and also reopening the murder cases he was referring to Mani spoke of Congress leaders being killed by the CPM in the past and warned that party rivals could be dealt with in the same way in the future.
