Even as the AI management and pilots tussle enters its 8th day, inconveniencing hundreds of air travelers, chances of a breakthrough in the impasse seem dim. Representatives of the striking pilots' guild were denied an audience by the Civil Aviation minister, Ajit Singh, when they attempted to meet him Monday. Earlier on Monday, Singh has set an end to the strike as a precondition for beginning a dialogue with aggrieved pilots. The pilots did not heed this, despite an adverse ruling from the court. Speaking to newsmen, Singh said there was no meeting scheduled.
