India News : New Delhi: Disturbed by the communal violence in Muzaffarnagar that killed at least 40 people, the Supreme Court today issued notices to the Uttar Pradesh government and the Centre, seeking their reports on the relief and medical facilities being provided to the victims of the clashes.The top court was hearing the petitions filed by the victims of the clashes and the Supreme Court Bar Association.The riot victims, represented by former Solicitor General Gopal Subramaniam, argued that the top court should ask the Centre to discharge its obligations under Article 355 of the constitution.
