Odisha hostage crisis: Maoists increase demand-NewsX

There is no end to the Odisha hostage crises, as the Naxals have now extended their list of demands. This, after the Odisha government agreed to most of their 13 demands to secure the safe release of an Italian tourist and an MLA of the ruling BJD. In a clear case of blackmailing, Naxals commander Jagabandhu of the Andhra Orissa Border Committee has demanded release of 23 of their members in exchange for MLA Jhina Hikaka, now in captivity. The group has extended the deadline for meeting of their demands to 7th April.
