The Delhi Lokayukta has called for a review of the President's decision not to censure Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit for ethics violation. Last July, Lokayukta Manmohan Sarin had ruled that Dikshit misrepresented facts ahead of the 2008 Assembly polls by announcing that 60,000 low-cost flats were ready for handing over to the urban poor. This, Sarin claimed, despite "knowing fully well they were not ready". Sarin sought a review of the order as the President had refused to censure Dikshit. Through a review sought by the Lieutenant Governor, he sought that the President be requested to reconsider her decision, as she was not properly advised with regard to the role of Dikshit.
