One of the greatest Australian players, Ricky Ponting, has announced his retirement from the one-day cricket after being dropped from the squad. Ponting admits his one-day career is over but vowed to continue playing Test cricket. The former captain made the announcement in a press conference at the SCG this morning. The 37-year-old was dropped from Australia's one-day squad yesterday, having returned just 18 runs at an average of 3.6 in five innings.
