After Kalmadi's dubious role in the conduct of CWG emerged, the International Olympic Committee recommended his ouster as chief of it's Indian counterpart, the IOA. But the Indian Olympic Association has turned a deaf ear to the request. Clearly, commitment to probity was not on the top of the minds of IOA bosses. As things now stand, the process to impeach Kalmadi will have to be initiated by the present Acting chief of IOA, V K Malhotra.
