A 99-year old freedom fighter and his wife have launched a fast unto death as a fight to get their pension. Chhedi Ram and his 85 year old wife claim they haven't been paid their pension since 1972 when the fund was first formed. They've launched a sit-in outside the Raj Bhawan in Ranchi where they live. The couple claims to have certificates saying they fought in the struggle for independence alongside leading lights like Subhash Chandra Bose.
