The CBI is seeking nine more days of custody for former Karnataka minister Gali Janardhan Reddy and B.V. Srinivas Reddy, the director of the Obulapuram Mining Company in Bellary. The agency says it has sufficient evidence to arrest them but needs more material to prepare a chargesheet against the two men. The CBI is also filing a status report on the mining racket that's going on in Bellary where the Reddy brothers virtually allegedly operated.
