The Shahi Imam of Delhi's Jama Masjid has voiced his reservations about the participation of Muslims in Anna Hazare's movement. He said that protesters were raising slogans like Vande Mataram, which is un-Islamic. He even alleged that Anna team members were linked to right wing Hindu groups. Anna team however in a late night meeting with Imam Bukhari clarified that the present wave of protests were a popular movement and not of a communal nature.
