The government's ploy to broaden its confrontation with Anna Hazare on the issue of corruption is now out in the open, The Prime Minister in his opening address to the all-party meet has tried to convert it into a battle between Anna Hazare's team and the Parliament. PM Manmohan Singh towards the end of his address raised concern at the developments that question the functioning of the Parliament while reading out the three demands by Anna Hazare, namely withdrawal of government's version of the Lokpal Bill, introducing the Jan Lokpal Bill in the next 4 days and bypassing the Parliamentary Standing Committee route to eventually pass it in this session, even if that means extending it.
