Chhattisgarh Naxal attack: Centre, state officials hold security review meeting

Raipur : Top Home Ministry officials today held a security review meeting with senior Chhattisgarh officials in Raipur today to take stock of the alleged lapses that led to the killing of two senior Congress leaders and 22 others in a gruesome Naxal attack on Saturday. The rebels have claimed the responsibility for the massacre.

The meeting, attended by Union Home secretary R K Singh and Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Raman Singh, also discussed the changes required in the strategy to tackle the Naxal menace.

Intelligence Bureau (IB) Secretary SA Ibrahim, Director General of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) Prannay Sahay and top police officers from Chhattisgarh were among the others present at the meeting.
