India News: As it became clear by late Thursday night that actor Sanjay Dutt would be eventually lodged in Yerawada Central Prison in Pune, the jail authorities here said all arrangements, as granted by the Special Terrorist and Disruptive Activities Prevention Act (TADA) court in Mumbai, would be made in the jail.
Convicted in the 1993 Mumbai serial blasts case and sentenced to five-year rigorous imprisonment for possessing an automatic rifle, Dutt surrendered before the court on Thursday afternoon. He was initially sent to Arthur Road Jail in Mumbai, where he was supposed to spend the night before being shifted elsewhere on Friday.
