Delhi Rape: India News: he city police had earlier suspended an assistant commissioner of police (ACP), B.S. Alhawat, who misbehaved with a woman protester, along with SHO Dharampal and investigating officer Mahavir Singh of Ganghi Nagar police station for adereliction of dutya.
The police have been accused of refusing to file an FIR on time in connection with the rape and laxity in searching for the girl after a missing complaint was received. The girl's family had also alleged that a policeman had offered them Rs.2,000 for hushing up the case.
