The bad news for the residents of Ghaziabad, Noida, Greater Noida and Lucknow is electricity bill would be hiked by the up government in these three cities. So far for every 200 units of power, the bill amount was Rs. 3.80. But now it will be charged only for 100 units.
Ghaziabad tops the chart with maximum consumption, followed by Lucknow and Noida. UP Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav says that the pace at which population is increasing as well as Noida is the hub of offices, the electricity consumption is increasing at an alarming rate.
