Nazri defends his controversial Semenyih speech

Datuk Seri Nazri Aziz has defended his controversial Semenyih speech which allegedly calls for vernacular schools to be shut down.

In his campaign speech on Sunday, he also reportedly questioned the appointment of non-Muslims as the Attorney General, Chief Justice and Finance Minister.

The Padang Rengas MP also said that he was called up by the police on Monday to provide a statement following a police report over the speech.

Nazri added that such allegations are a ploy to turn voters against Barisan in the Semenyih by-election. He was called up by police on Monday (Feb 25) over his campaign speech in Semenyih.
