Cam Talbot is really having problems stopping the puck this year for the Oilers, and his issues came to a head - quite literally - on Saturday.
The Oilers goalie allowed a goal to Coyotes right wing Conor Garland in Edmonton on Saturday, and said goal came off of Garland's face.
On the play in question, the Coyotes were on a power play when Garland tried to deflect a pass on net coming from behind Talbot.
But Alex Galchenyuk's pass went to Jordan Oesterle beyond Talbot and Oesterle put a shot on net.
Garland didn't exactly know where the puck was as he had fallen down a moment before, and Oesterle's wrist shot hit him in the face and miraculously bounced into the net.
The goal was Garland's seventh of the year.
It's just been that kind of year for Talbot and Edmonton goalies in general.
Talbot is allowing a career-worst 3.18 goals per game and has a career-low .896 save percentage.
Edmonton's goalies as a whole haven't fared much better as the Oilers are 22nd in the NHL with an .897 save percentage.
