Iconic fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld has died at the age of 85 in Paris following a short illness.
The German designer is best known for his work as the creative director of Chanel and Fendi.
His signature dark suits, ponytail and dark glasses made him an instantly recognizable figure around the world.
Heartfelt tributes have been pouring in from industry heavyweights, including Donatella Versace and Vogue's editor-in-chief Anna Wintour, as well as several models and celebrities.
Rumors of Lagerfeld's ill-health had swirled after he failed to show up at Chanel's spring/summer show last month in Paris.
