The Indian air has demonstrate its full spectrum combat and fire capabilities during 'exercise vayu shakti-2019' in Pokhran firing range in Rajasthan. Akash missile firing, gun firing from advanced light helicopter and Mig 29's air-to-ground role were among the four "first-time demonstrations" in the exercise attended by defence minister Nirmala Sitharaman. Ability to detect targets, multi-spectrum capability, swift identification and neutralising targets with precision were also at display in the 1.5 hour long exercise aimed at showcasing the force's capabilities to prosecute 24x7 air operations. This display of strength by the Indian air force comes days after the dastardly Awantipora attack.
