Hill's Pet Nutrition Dog Food Recalled The company recalled
25 products last week. The recall was prompted by suspicion that some of the products might contain According to the FDA, symptoms of excessive Vitamin D consumption in dogs includes, loss of appetite, vomiting,
increased thirst and urination,
excessive drooling and weight loss. Extreme cases can also
lead to kidney failure. The company claims to
have "isolated the error." Caitlin Gibson, journalist for
'The Washington Post,' shared first-hand
experience of Vitamin D poisoning in dogs. According to the FDA, several other brands of dog food were recalled for high levels of Vitamin D in December.
