Now, as we speak, President Moon Jae-in is holding a luncheon meeting with the heads of municipal governments at the Blue House to brief them on state affairs, and to secure their support for the administration's efforts to boost the economy.
Attending are about 215 leaders of local governments ranging from cities and counties to district offices.
The South Korean President is expected to personally explain his key policy goals as well as his economic and social policies,... seeking the local leaders' cooperation.
He will also likely reemphasize the significance of their roles in boosting the nation's economy as a whole.
The meeting is expected to last about two hours, and it's the first of its kind since President Moon took office in 2017.
