President Trump on Thursday weighed in on the Virginia scandals.

President Trump addressed the political problems in the state of Virginia on Thursday, suggesting that if those involved were Republicans, they'd be facing "far stronger action." "Democrats at the top are killing the Great State of Virginia," Trump said in a tweet. "If the three failing pols were Republicans, far stronger action would be taken. Virginia will come back HOME Republican) in 2020!"  At this time, three of the state's top officials, all Democrats, are embroiled in controversy.  The tumult began with Gov. Ralph Northam, whose medical school yearbook page features a picture of a person in blackface and another wearing a KKK robe, notes CNN. Not long after, Lt. Gov. Justin Fairfax was accused of sexually assaulting a woman at the Democratic National Convention in 2004.   On Wednesday, State Attorney General Mark Herring announced that he wore blackface to a college party. If all three of them resign, Kirk Cox, the Republican speaker of the Virginia House of Delegates, will become the state's governor, notes USA Today.
