After four years of preparation, Fondation Beyeler’s exhibition dedicated to the young Picasso’s blue and rose period is finally open to the public. The show’s focus is on the early years of Pablo Picasso, the period when the artist became “Picasso”. Fondation Beyeler calls it the most ambitious presentation in the history of the museum. The exhibition features more than 80 of Picasso’s masterworks from renowned national and international collections. It’s organized by Fondation Beyeler in cooperation with the Musée d’Orsay, L’Orangerie, and the Musée National Picasso-Paris. The young Picasso – Blue and Rose Periods is curated by Raphaël Bouvier and runs until May 6, 2019.
