More than 170 white foxes have been saved from slaughter in China after an animal rights group raised money to buy them from a fur production company. The foxes had been kept in tiny cages, before the rescue from the company, which was going out of business and trying to get rid of the animals. Activists moved the foxes to a Buddhist temple where they now enjoy much greater freedom of movement.
