Good morning, we are waking up to a freezing morning on this first day of February, a cold wave advisory has been issued in many inland areas with lows going down a couple notches lower than yesterday. But again the cold snap will be short lived cold will ease as the day goes on. Dress in layers.
Taking a closer look at morning lows for other areas, other than Jeju Island, we are waking up to icy temperatures, Daegu and Gyeongju, Seoul kicked off the day around minus 7 degrees Celsius... mostly sunny skies will be featured along with decent air before toxic smog start to blow in later at night.
Daily highs will rise rapidly, upper regions will see highs a tad higher while southern parts of the country will be a bit chillier. But overall readings will be above the norms for most areas.
The weather outlook for this year's Lunar New Year's holiday seems to be promising, with neither significant bone chilling temperatures nor snow in store.
