TRAI chairman RS Sharma feels that the new tariff regime for television channels empowers the consumers as it gives them a choice to pay for what they watch. In a conversation with Ashmit Kumar ahead of the February 1 deadline, Sharma said that the migration rate in the DTH segment was not satisfactory.
