Owner of vehicle circulated over 'explosives' surrenders

The owner of a Subaru Forester which had been circulated by police for allegedly possessing explosives has presented himself to Central Police station.
The man who identified himself
as Alex Chege went to the station this afternoon and said he is a law abiding citizen who suspects business rivalry in the circulation.
Chege runs a private secondary school in Githurai.
He told police he had left the vehicle at a garage in Ngara yesterday when it development a mechanical problem.
Central DCIO Richard Bitok says no explosives were found in the car.
News of the black or Navy blue Subaru forester was dominant in the social media and some main stream media houses since morning.
Capital News beat was however, cautious about the information which was declared a hoax by the police.
