Freezing morning turns mild _ 012119

2019-01-21 11

Good morning. We had a freezing and windy start to the new week, with a cold wave advisory, colder parts of the country saw lows plunging to below minus 10 degrees Celsius. But highs will rise rapidly, by nearly 20 degrees, to hover around the mid single digits.

Central parts of the country will see more clouds through the mid afternoon with a slight chance of snow flurries, possibly including here in Seoul, but the rest will be under clear skies.

Back to today's temperatures... colder temperatures are a lot more welcome these days as we tend to see cleaner air. Daily highs will range between 5 and 9 degrees Celsius under mostly sunny skies.

While it's supposed to be the coldest day of the season in Korea, we'll actually see quite bearable temperatures for the first half of the week, colder morning lows are in store for the latter half and it could get drier and possibly dustier.

That's Korea for you and here's the international weather for viewers around the world.
