According to Reuters, 66 people were killed and another 76 injured in Mexico a pipeline explosion on Friday night in the state of Hidalgo. Mexico's state-owned petroleum company Pemex has since confirmed that the blast was caused by fuel thieves drilling an illegal tap. The explosion was one of the worst in recent history in Mexico which has suffered hundreds of illegal breaches to its oil and gas pipelines. According to the government, the practice cost the country over $3 billion last year.
