S. Korea demands full, accurate release of Japan's supposed radar evidence

Japan is set to release new evidence that it says supports its claim that a South Korean warship used its radar to target a Japanese patrol plane last month.
According to Japanese broadcaster NHK, Tokyo's defense ministry said Saturday it has a recording from the plane... of a sound usually heard when fire-control radar is detected.
It says it's going to release the recording as soon as this week.
But South Korea's defense ministry says that if Japan has that audio, then it needs to release it in full... with data showing exactly when it was recorded,... which direction the supposed radar signal came from and the frequency.
South Korea says its ship last month was on a mission to rescue a stranded North Korean vessel and never used its targeting radar, though the Japanese patrol plane, it says, flew near the ship in a way that could be seen as threatening.
