The chief of South Korea's ruling Democratic Party has vowed to do everything he can this year to revitalize the economy and foster peace on the peninsula.

He said the National Assembly passed a number of bills last year to improve people's livelihoods,... but noted that some people have not been able to feel the impact.
To this, he said that the party will do more to reach out to those in need,... and also focus on building a social dialogue.
When asked about the prospects of a second North Korea-U.S. summit,.. Lee said that it might happen sometime in February.
He added that if those talks do take place,... this time they need to bring about substantive results,... saying that will probably be discussed during high-level talks between the two sides.
Lee said likely on the table will be shutting down the North's nuclear facilities in exchange for sanctions relief.
