Aged Women Skyrocket From 1999 to 2017,
the drug overdose death rate
of women aged 30 to 64 rose 260%. The finding was
revealed in a report from
the Centers for Disease
Control and Prevention (CDC). 18,110 middle-aged women
died of drug overdose in 2017. The study found a
huge increase in the number
of overdoses attributed
to opioids such as fentanyl. Women typically have
lower rates of use of
illicit drugs and alcohol. But data shows that
women are actually
just as likely as men to
