A deceased newborn was found inside a cooler that had been left on a Troup County, Georgia roadside, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. The Troup County Sheriff's Office reported via Facebook that the discovery was made on Sunday afternoon. It also noted: "Witnesses in the area stated the cooler had been on the side of the road near the wood-line for several days, possibly up to a week." An autopsy will be performed on Tuesday. The cooler is described as "light blue in color with pictures of watermelon slices and zips at the top, front and sides." People with information that could be helpful in solving the case are asked to call the sheriff's department or make a report through Crime Stoppers.
