According to a report by Mother Nature Network, on New Years Day, NASA's New Horizons made a historic flyby of an object that dates back to the earliest days of our solar system. Officially named 2014 MU69, but nicknamed 'Ultima Thule' by NASA, this tiny planet measures just 19 miles in diameter.
