Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez posted her Christmas message via a tweet on Tuesday.
Congresswoman-elect Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez on Tuesday tweeted a holiday message that "linked the Christmas nativity story to the plight of refugees," reports The Hill.
"Merry Christmas everyone - here's to a holiday filled with happiness, family, and love for all people. (Including refugee babies in mangers + their parents.)," she tweeted. Her tweet sparked numerous reactions.
"You are constantly making headlines for all the wrong reasons," wrote one tweeter. "Please try and read a book once in a while. I seriously can't believe you were actually elected to Congress."
Another response stated: "This message starts as a Christmas greeting and ends in a political twist."
"It would help... if the liberal left actually read the Bible," someone else tweeted.
