Info from Licensor: "Kevin D’Agostino was diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis at birth and was in the best shape of his life until he had an unfortunate and unrelated brain injury in 2016 at the age of 30. Unable to work out and fight his CF issues, he was listed for a lung transplant 2 years after his brain injury. After his lungs declined, he was tethered to supplemental oxygen 24/7. Kevin fought, not only his Cystic Fibrosis, but also his brain injury, when Loyola University took a chance on a young man with CF and a brain injury and gave him a second chance at life. We are thankful to the transplant surgeon, Dr. Ali, for his precision as he placed new lungs in Kevin’s chest. It was not an easy feat, but also for going out on a limb and giving a young man with CF and a brain injury a better future. We know that Kevin will take his transplant seriously and show Loyola Hospital they took a chance on the right guy!"
