According to a report by Geek.com, on Thursday, the European Space Agency announced that its Mars Express satellite recently captured a photo of a mile-deep ice crater on the surface of Mars. The area, named the Korolev crater, reportedly appears as an eerie white landscape juxtaposed by the planet's otherwise reddish terrain. According to the ESA, the crater is 51 miles wide and is located in the northern lowlands of the Red Planet.
