A couple in Arizona wanted to give their niece a Barbie wedding set that matched their own same sex wedding. At this moment, there are not any sets that reflect the couple’s upcoming wedding. In order to create the meaningful gift they wanted for their niece they created their own. By buying a few different separate dolls, they put them all together to create a gay wedding set. The set got the attention of Mattel and are now talking to the couple of possibly making same-sex doll sets.
