14-year-old Suspect Crashes Stolen Car, Flees From Pasco County Deputy

Hudson, FL - A 14-year-old suspect was arrested after fleeing from a Pasco County deputy and crashing a stolen car on Sunday.

The chase and crash were caught on the deputy’s body cam video.

According to the sheriff’s office, the suspect took the keys to a 2015 Mazda 6 without permission from Golden Oldies Auto Sales in Hudson.

The boy drove the stolen vehicle through the metal rope blocking the parking lot and drove south on US Highway 19.

The suspect was located by a deputy and gave chase, switching lanes to avoid traffic and stop sticks.

The vehicle crashed near 12201 US Highway 19.

The suspect fled on foot after the crash and the deputy chased after him.

The boy was taken into custody for grand theft auto and criminal mischief after the short foot pursuit.
