French police have killed the suspected gunman who attacked people at a Christmas market in Strasbourg earlier this week.
Twenty-nine-year-old Cherif Chekatt was shot dead on Thursday evening, local time, after a two-day manhunt.
Police spotted him on a street in the Neudorf district in Strasbourg and he was said to have opened fire on the officers when they tried to question him.
Three people were killed, and more than a dozen others were injured in Tuesday's terrorist attack.
