Britain Can Cancel Brexit,
Top EU Court Rules European Court of Justice
ruled the U.K. can revoke
Article 50. The exit clause, put into motion
by the country in 2017, began
the two-year countdown for
the U.K.'s exit from the E.U. The ruling states that the
U.K. can choose to cancel
Brexit without the approval
of the other 27 E.U. members. The E.U. court ruling
says that Article 50
could be reversed, The U.K. remains bitterly
divided over Brexit. Anti-Brexit campaigners
heralded Monday's ruling
from the European Court. British Prime Minister
Theresa May recently
finalized negotiations with
the E.U. on the Brexit deal. That deal is scheduled
to come up for a vote before
British Parliament on Tuesday. With many from May's
own party openly opposing
the deal, there's a good
chance it will be shot down.
