Julian Omidi and Michael Omidi, co-founders of No More Poverty, are concerned by the number of "detached" youth in the United States. "Detached" individuals are kids 17 to 24 that are neither employed or in school. Roughly 6 million young people now fall into this category in the US. Recent reports also indicate that one-third of the 50 states in the US have a majority of students designated as low-income. Opportunity Nation conducted a study that shows where young people are struggling. The study showed that New Mexico and Nevada had the highest numbers of "detached." Join No More Poverty in trying to change the tide for the youth of the United States.
