Everybody’s favorite gory franchise is back. The trailer for “Mortal Kombat 11” was debuted at the Game Awards, by series co-creator Ed Boon. And in a time when the real world feels endlessly annoying, it looks to be the perfect bone-crushing, hyper-violent, escapist dream come true, where you can work out all your aggressions in the safety of your home console.
NetherRealm, the longtime developer of the beloved fighter series, has had not only ten main series entries since “MK 1” debuted in 1992, but also tons of side games, toys, comic books, and even two full-fledged blockbuster movies. But in “MK 11,” it seems that the franchise is back in its purest form: blood, guts, and uncensored carnage.
